We’re at the point in the release cycle of LG’s newest flagship, the G4, where we know pretty much all we’ll know about it without getting our hands on one. Which pops the questions: “When will it be available?” and “What will I have to pay?”. ASUS is no stranger to the mobile scene. They’ve had unique transformable tablets, phone-tablet duos, and even just your run-of-the-mill smartphones. Earlier in the year at CES, ASUS announced it’s newest flaghip the ZenFone 2, and after a few months, it is now ready to show its face here in the states.
It’s no secret that phone OEMs are trying to fit larger screens into smaller bodies. With phones like the LG G3 (and G4) and the new Zenfone 2, bezels are getting smaller and screens are getting bigger. One of the leaders in bezel-less devices happens to be Sharp whose Aquos Crystal showed us just how much screen, and how little bezel, a device could feature. Keeping with their bezel free mantra, Sharp has just unveiled two new phones that also feature a bezel-less display.
It’s not uncommon for manufacturer to have a main flagship and then create one or more offshoot variants to it with specific use cases or target markets. LG did it last with with the LG G3 and the Vigor, Stylus, and Vista variants and they seem to be continuing the trend this year. Late last night, LG announced the G4 Stylus and the G4c — new variants of the recently announced G4.
The day has finally come, through all the leaks and teases from the community and LG, they have finally made the G4, their latest and greatest flagship, official. The G4 looks to be LG prime combatant against the S6 and all the other Android flagships out in the wild right now. Plus, LG has given the G4 a very peculiar fabric design to keep the device….unique.
LG is no stranger to the Android Wear market. With the launch of the LG G Watch and the LG G Watch R, it would appear that LG has a pretty good handle on their smartwatches. LG recently announced the LG Watch Urbane, and it is now available for purchase on the Google Store. Of all the smartwatches on the Google Store, the Watch Urbane is currently the highest in price.
