Flipboard for Android Adds Daydream Support in Latest Update
First things first: what’s Daydream? Daydream was introduced in Android 4.2 and is essentially a screensaver for your tablet or phone. While not the most revolutionary of features introduced in Android, it’s a great way to make use of the otherwise vacuous space of a docked or idle device. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s introduce you to the new Flipboard update.
Flipboard for Android is one of the few apps now taking advantage of the Daydream feature, which, of course, is to be expected considering only 1.2% of Android devices are actually running it.
Thanks to the latest update to Flipboard for Android, users can now create a screensaver made out of Flipboard covers. Once updated, setting up the new Flipboard Daydream feature is simple and will have your idle/docked (when a Nexus tablet dock actually becomes available) device displaying visually appealing and informative Flipboard headlines.
