Ubuntu for Phones: Just Another Hobby for the Neckbeards
January 3, 2013 | Vincent MessinaToday, Canonical threw us Android users a bit of a curve ball by announcing Ubuntu for phones. Ubuntu for phones is different than Ubuntu for Android in that it acts as a mobile OS on your phone as well as a desktop OS when docked. This is a bold move considering Canonical doesn’t seem to have the backing of any OEM or carrier, never mind a viable ecosystem to sustain such a move. Being able to launch Ubuntu when docking your Android device is one thing, but erasing Android from the equation entirely is, well… just another hobby for Neckbeards. Read More
